Yakari fait partie de cette dernière catégorie. La dimension onirique et poétique du scénario de Job s’allie à merveille au style graphique et au découpage de Derib. De sorte que l’on n’oublie pas ce petit Sioux qui peut dialoguer avec son poney et avec tous les animaux des territoires de chasse américains. Yakari, c’est la célébration du côté pur et noble de l’enfance, un côté de la médaille qui a aussi son revers, mais un revers que l’on oublie, le temps d’un rêve ou d’un album.       While some right-thinking comic strips are something of an affront to creative genius, others are capable of reconciling good intentions and artistic success. Yakari belongs to the second category. The dreamlike and poetic scenario of Job blends together marvellously with Derib's graphic style and cutting. The result is the unforgettable character of a little Sioux who can talk with his pony and all the animals of the American hunting grounds. Yakari is a celebration of the pure and noble side of childhood, a side of the medal that does have a reverse, but one that we forget all too willingly while dreaming or reading a comic book.       Wenn es um spiessige Comics geht, die eine Art Affront für den schöpferischen Geist sind, so findet man doch einige, denen es gelingt, edle Gefühle und künstlerisches Gelingen in Einklang zu bringen. Yakari gehört zu dieser Kategorie. Die traumhafte und poetische Dimension der Geschichte von Job verschmilzt wunderbar mit dem zeichnerischen Stil und der Bildaufteilung von Derib. So sehr, dass man niemals diesen kleinen Sioux vergessen kann, der mit seinem Pony und all den Tieren der amerikanischen Jagdgründe sprechen kann. Mit Yakari wird die reine und edle Seite der Kindheit zelebriert, eine Seite der Medaille, von der es auch eine Kehrseite gibt, eine Kehrseite, die man aber für die Zeit eines Traums oder eines Albums vergisst.
