Adolescent plutôt malingre, que son déguisement de super héros rend pitoyable, Phantom assume pleinement le ridicule de sa situation, témoignant en cela d’un étonnant recul par rapport à lui-même. Il mesure pleinement son impuissance envers les coups du sort et la méchanceté de ses semblables. Mais là où les autres teenagers se vexent et tâchent de fuir la réalité, lui fait face, compense en prenant sa revanche sur des petites choses encore plus fragiles que lui. Que celui qui n’a jamais fait pareil lui arrache son masque !       Phantom is a comic hero created by Thomas Ott, a cartoonist who has made a name for himself with very gloomy stories. Phantom is a rather puny teenager, made all the more pitiful by his superhero outfit, but he fully accepts the ludicrousness of his situation and displays an astonishing ability to stand back and laugh at himself. He is fully capable of assessing his own powerlessness in the face of adversity and the wickedness of his fellow creatures. But while other teenagers try to escape from reality when something upsets them, he faces it and gets his own back on things which are even smaller than he is. Let whoever has never done this unmask him!       Phantom ist der Comic-Held von Thomas Ott, der vor allem durch sehr finstere Geschichten bekannt wurde. Als eher schwächlicher Jugendlicher, den seine Verkleidung als Super-Held eher bemitleidenswert erscheinen lässt, nimmt Phantom uneingeschränkt das Lächerliche seiner Situation an und stellt damit einen erstaunlichen Abstand zu sich selbst unter Beweis. Er erkennt in vollem Umfang seine Machtlosigkeit gegenüber den Schlägen des Schicksals und der Bösartigkeit seiner Mitmenschen. Aber dort, wo die anderen Teenager sich ärgern und versuchen, der Realität zu entfliehen, hält er stand, kompensiert er, indem er sich an kleinen Dingen revanchiert, die noch zerbrechlicher sind als er selbst. Auf dass jemand, der so etwas noch nie getan hat, ihm seine Maske vom Gesicht reisst !
