Zwicky
From Swisscomics
By Jaermann
Is Zwicky destined to become a common noun referring to Swiss citizens imbued with a sense of their own importance, who are incapable of accepting their own mediocrity, and who're convinced that they are the best in the world and that all problems come from abroad? One thing is for certain: fellows like Zwicky are hard to find between Geneva and Sankt Gallen. Nor are his wife, two sons and one daughter an umpteenth imitation of characters in German or French comic strips or films. To tell the truth, every Swiss person has a little of Zwicky within him or herself--such is the skill with which Jaermann and Schaad have caricatured their hero in his ability to respond to difficult situations in this post-industrial society.
