Olivier Varèse's dream is to be as perfect as Tintin, the young Belgian reporter, but he only achieves his goal to a small degree. In fact, Varèse is so clumsy that he forgets to reload his camera before the scoop of the century, gets caught up in the whirlwind of events, and ultimately only survives due to chance or his fits of anger, which are quite understandable in someone of his limited intelligence and intuition. All the same, his profession takes him to parts of the world where history is made and where he crosses paths with unforgettable characters. Marini's most famous hero is Gipsy.
